Membership Rules

 (All members should strictly follow Kalakruti rules. Rules are subject to change.)

I am interested to join the group. What is my next step? 

• Submit your artwork to your Kalakruti contact or one of the members. You will be notified if you are accepted in 2 weeks.

How can I become a "Member" once accepted?

• You can pay the annual membership fee of $10 (non refundable) to become a member. The membership fee is good for an year (calendar year).
• Once you are accepted and pay membership fee, you will become a member right away.
• You will become an active member officially after 3 months of becoming a member.
• Contact one of the members for payment details.

Who is considered as "Active Member"?

A member who is committed to the group by following one or more of the below criteria:

• With 50% attendance to the meetings and workshops. Approximately 4 to 6 meetings in a year including workshops.
• Contribute to the events organized by Kalakruti.
• Research or explore opportunities to help promote Kalakruti.

What are the benefits of being "Active Member"?

• Access to events/workshops organized by Kalakruti.
• Will be part of WhatsApp group and Kalakruti's Website.
• Can exhibit at any event organized by Kalakruti.

When does a member become "Inactive Member"?

• Non participation or not following the criteria of being an "Active Member" will make the member inactive.
• Member decides to take a break or quit the group.
• Feb every year the membership will be validated by looking into previous year's participation.

General Exhibit rules

• Exhibitors time and commitment is required, 2 to 3 paintings are displayed depending on space allotted for the exhibition and size of the paintings.
• Indian theme is preferred, any other theme is ok. However, all members collectively decide on specific theme, number of paintings and other logistics for any event.
• Any Kalakruti initiative, project or event should be represented under Kalakruti by displaying something in writing or Kalakruti banner.
